VATICAN CITY - When former President Joe Biden walked into St. Peter's Square for Pope Francis's funeral, he stunned everyone because he was wearing the scarlet cassock and red biretta reserved for Catholic cardinals. Biden then revealed that hours before the Pope died, he named Biden a Cardinal in pectore--a secret cardinal. Biden explained, "I am the Cardinal of Rehoboth Beach."
"Unfortunately, there's no other evidence for this appointment because the pope died before he could prepare the, the, the . . ."
"Paperwork," said Jill Biden. Jill explained to the reporter that her husband told her of the appointment after the Pope died. "I am so proud of Joe!"

The former president explained that he asked the pope to keep the appointment secret because it might be deemed a betrayal of his affiliation with various faiths and nationalities. The Pope complied with this selfless gesture, just as President Obama had complied with Biden's alleged request to support Hillary Clinton over him in the 2016 election.
"The Holy Father knew that the appointment might have offended some groups," Biden explained, including the Jewish community since Biden has claimed that he was "raised in the synagogues."
He also has claimed an affiliation with Greek Americans, even calling himself "Joe Biden-opoulos." He also said that he frequented Black churches in Delaware during the civil rights movement, even though such claims have not been verified.
Biden said he only revealed the papal appointment "because I'm going to be one of the Cardinals who votes in the conclave for the new pope."
Jill Biden quickly reminded the former president that he is past 80, so ineligible to vote. Despite this, Biden told the reporter that "I've got to get to the airport to fly to the Vatican so I can vote." When the reporter pointed out to Biden that he was already at Vatican City, Biden paused and said, "look, we finally beat Medicare."
