BRADENTON, Fla. - Pirates shortstop Jack Wilson, Pirates second baseman Jose Castillo and former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill met Tuesday morning to iron out their differences following Wilson's public criticism of Castillo at Piratefest last month. Wilson accused Castillo of not being physically or mentally prepared last season.
After the three men emerged from their meeting, insiders speaking on condition of anonymity said that Wilson appeared to be exhausted and that he "sold out" U.S. interests because his concessions allowed Castillo to expand his influence in Eastern Europe, Japan and Asia.
